How to become a Member

All legal entities governed by private law, non-profit, national or foreign, may be members of JOINT - League of Non-Governmental Organizations in Mozambique, provided they meet the following requirements:

       ·     Be recognized as a non-profit legal entity governed by private law by Mozambican entities;

       ·      Be a non-profit and humanitarian organization;

       ·      Be involved in the implementation of humanitarian assistance or development programs in Mozambique;

      ·    Adhere to a policy of good governance and transparency, including the public use of information provided to JOINT - League of Non-Governmental Organizations in Mozambique;

      ·    Support the objectives of JOINT - League of Non-Governmental Organizations in Mozambique and accept to fulfill the duties of membership.

Member Categories 

Members of the JOINT- Non-Governmental Organizations League in Mozambique can be:

FOUNDERS – All signatories of the Association’s deed of incorporation;

EMPLOYEES – Those who are admitted as members of the association, by decision of the General Assembly, including the founders;

HONORARIES - Individuals, collectives or any entity that has given the association notable support or has contributed significantly to the development of the Association and who are appointed as honorary members by the General Assembly for this purpose;

MERITS - Those to whom the Association, through deliberation in the General Assembly, conferred this title, as a result of their engagement with a strong, transparent civil society committed to its own area of ​​activity. This title can be given to individuals, organizations that have not worked directly with the association, but of recognizable merit;

PROVISIONAL - Those who have expressed an interest in becoming members have not yet been admitted.

      1)      The admission of members is the responsibility of the General Assembly.

     2)     The application for membership in the association must be addressed to the Board of Directors, when the General Assembly is not in session, and then forwarded to it.

      3)      The Board of Directors submits the proposal for new members to the General Assembly. 

Membership Conditions

In addition to the registration form, members must comply with the following requirements:

1.      National NGOs

      a)      Documents: Statutes, Proof of registration, Activity report;

      b)      JEWELRY with a single value of 500.00 MT;

      c)      QUOTE worth 1000.00 MT per year;

 2.      Foreign NGOs

      a)      Documents: Statutes, Proof of registration, Activity report;

      b)      JEWELRY with a single value of 500.00 MT;

      c)      QUOTE worth USD 250.00 MT per year; 

 

JOINT members must be involved in the implementation of Mozambique's development programs and identify with the principles and objectives of JOINT.
