We are pleased to announce that, this week, community education and awareness campaigns began in the six scheduled districts: Quelimane, Gurué, Ilha de Moçambique, Nampula-Cidade, Angoche, and Monapo.
Activities began on different dates in each district, adapting to the availability of local leaders. The most carried-out activities have to do with the presentation of our dedicated activists to the communities by community leaders.
In a timid but determined way, some districts began door-to-door visits, taking information directly to families and fostering an environment of dialogue and learning.
It should be remembered that these campaigns are part of the DIREITOS program, implemented by KULIMA and JOINT, with funding from USAID, and aim to increase awareness about rights and ways to promote access to justice and political participation of women, young people, and people with disabilities.
We thank everyone involved and will continue to share updates on the progress of these important activities. Together, we are building more informed and stronger communities!
"Stay tuned to our social media for more updates on the progress of the DIREITOS program and upcoming training events!"
